We're towing from Devon to Northumberland this weekend and I'm looking into the idea of heading off on Saturday evening and stopping overnight at services somewhere on the M1 in the Nottingham area (arriving about midnight).
Can anyone recommend a northbound service station in this area with decent caravan parking? I don't particularly mind how much it costs, but I just want to be sure there will be a decent place to park.
Trowell Services looks like a possibility, but I've never been there before.

Trowell services is the one on the M1 near Nottingham.
Don't know about caravan parking but you can stop in the truck places.
Think most services cater for caravans.
The service station is between junction 25 and 26.
The next service station up is at junction 29 - 30 which is around another 25- 30 miles north.
Don't forget about the road works between 28 -32 it's around 26 miles of narrow lanes with 50mph speed limit and gets very busy at peak times.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
