Hello all, we have a new to us Lunar Freelander FB 2003 sited away from home 3 hours away! Our water pump was leaking at the top where it joins the caravan but stupidly we forgot to bring it back with us when we last went! Im now trying to source another before we go back but Im struggling to identify the right one! It looks like TRUMA - CRYSTAL MK2 MAXI PUMP ASSEMBLY but Im wondering if the Whale Truma Crystal Mk2 Pump (replaces Maxi Pump) is the one I should be going for! Im not very clued up with caravans! I just like to use it!!All help gratefully received! Many thanks

I think the 'Truma' water pump and connector was replaced with the 'Whale' EP1322 model.
Have a look at these three pump and connectors in the link as they have the model numbers below. The EP1322 is the middle one.

Here

The EP1322 is the same fitting as the old design as shown in the this link.

Ah thats really helpful. I knew someone on here would help :) I was confused between the EP 1322 and 1622 but looking at your 1st link they appear to be one and the same which explains a lot! Many thanks again

I believe that the 'Whale' water pump has a higher rate of water delivery than the previous Carver / Truma pump had too. I replaced my complete 'Carver' pump with the 'Whale' EP1322 model and found it better especially the water flow to the shower head.

Hi, you say the pump is leaking where it goes into the caravan, so I assume its pumping ok. on our crystal pump there is an O ring where it joins the caravan. I have had to change it a couple of times approx. every couple of years, for just this problem. I now keep O rings in the caravan its only seconds to change them. certainly less cost than a pump so would be tempted to check O ring first.

Yes it could be the sealing 'O' ring or even one of the two security clips (flags) that has broken that secures the pump connector against the inlet which happened to us on first trip out.
It is advisable to carry these fresh water related items as spares actually including a spare drain plug and 'O' ring too.

Ahhhh sorry..I should have made it clearer. It's the top of the hose that's split and the plastic plug bit cracked. It's been held together with tape and a jubilee clip but beyond that now!! Thx for the advice though. Useful for the future
