well I suppose its a caravanning topic?
so I've been planning a trip to the new forest next week for a few months now, booked black knowl cc site, a couple of months ago, with the intention of using 6 site night vouchers which I had from last year , which expire in October.
however I received 2 more vouchers last week, and in the accompanying letter it states that they are no longer valid on managed agreement sites, of which black knowl is one.
that means I would have to find £150 quid before next Friday to pay for the site!!
the old vouchers have no mention of the management agreement site rule, but the new ones state this on the back.
also another change to the rules means you can only use 5 at a time and not six.
this could have buggered up my whole holiday.
looks like a phone call to head offices on Monday.
Ringing Black knowl first might be an idea, to see whether they will take your vouchers or not.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
TBH I thought that it was always the case that managed sites didn't accept them. I've been using the vouchers for a long time and have always avoided the managed sites for that reason. I only ever use a CC site if I have a voucher, otherwise we use CLs.
I agree, managed sites have never accepted them. If you are going to the New Forest go to the Centenary New Forest Site as it is probably the only way you can afford to go there without your vouchers. We always save them for the most expensive sites.
Yes managed site have never taken them. Many years ago I brought a car on a CC credit card and got enought vouchers for 10 nights the site took them no problem.

on the back of the old vouchers it states not accepted on affiliated sites or cl's. no mention of managed agreement sites, they're 2 different things, do you have first hand confirmation that they have never been accepted on managed agreement sites?.
cheers

They are for club sites, affiliated/managed sites aren't club sites. I have had them refused quite a few years ago and have not tried since (see above comment).... from memory it was a site over Oakham way.
Just found my book and you are right it does say its managed but I do not understand why they don't accept the vouchers as they gave them to you.
How do you manage to keep getting them, only had a couple in 15 years.

The CC doesn't get all the proceeds as they don't own it. We got ours through the insurance.
result!!!
tried phoning site over the weekend but just got answer machine ,anyway phoned site this morning and yes they will take the vouchers ,only because the caravan club has now "bought the site" ( wardens words)
so holiday is as normal.
thanks for everyones input.
oh "taylor56". I get the vouchers through the caravan club credit card, every £3000 spent on the card gets a free night, manage to get 2 to 3 a year
