Do you need to be on site for the fair? If not then Rudding Park is only about 10 minutes away and considerably cheaper. We just spent a week there while the Harrogate flower show was on and can recommend it.

Its often the way with such events. As has been said they have to cover their costs for supplying such a service. Mind you the CC only charge £30 a night at the NEC including electrics.

Too expensive, find a site near the event and travel in, there will be a few far cheaper sites in the area.

There is a site called Moor Lodge at Bardsey which appears to be in the right area, not stayed there, but it certainly won't be anything like £60 per night! I am surprised that you would even consider paying that for a non-ehu pitch, and when did anyone ever pay £20 per night for ehu? We don't often pay £20 for a site! If you do decide to go there, or any other site in the area, I would book it up quickly.

it could be a supply and demand thing.. the purpose of the high price being to limit demand.. you ether pay it for what it give you or you go elsewhere..

Crummy profiteering IMHO
Vote with your wheels ..... and write to the organisers and local papers telling them they are thieving bxxxtards.

I go to the Blenheim Palace International Horse trials and It's £65 extra if you want EHU on the Horse Trials camp site.
As a C/C member I stay on the club site which is adjoining the Blenheim estate rather than the horse trials camp site, it's cheaper and you get all the site facilities.------------- Rose

the £60 a night I hope that includes the entrance fee too? because the normal day visitor costs are £30 per adult if it did include entrance then it would work out cheaper to camp there rather than pitch elsewhere and travel in
