We'd like to join the caravan club but having difficulty regeristing with the VIN/ chassis number.
17 digits post 92, or 10 pre 92....
Ours is a 1990/1 Elddis Tornado Xl, the plate near the bottom of the door has the manufacturer and the number 90EL32466 ( 9 digits)
I do know that the previous owner ( lovelly old couple) were CC members.
So, am I looking in the correct place? I do understand that the chassis was earlier than the body, by a year, but is there anywhere else that I should look?
( been underneath, nothing obvious)
Driving me nuts!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've been underneath, but will do a proper reccy tomorrow. Do you think the number on the plate is the coachworks number?

The vin number is the one on the plate. If you have problems with the CC online then ring them up and the problem will be solved.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
