When we purchased the 215C version, we were not made aware that the caravan has to be moving for the pressure readings to show up.
We had the caravan connected and the un it switched on but it took about a mile after leaving the storage unit for the pressures to flashed up that one of the tyres was low pressure.
By that time it was too late to stop as we were on an A road with no parking and we had to proceed to the next town. Luckily we have a twin axle.
We thought it would work like the car TPMS and notify you straight away if there was an issue and not wait until you had set off.
The other annoying part is that the vehicle has its own TPMS which was mentioned to the sales person at time fo purchase. Apparently we could have bought the cheaper system costing £135 instead of £200 as it would have done the same job and we coudl have bought an extra sensor for the spare wheel for less than the £200.
Not a happy bunny at present!
Part of my "walk round" before towing away is to glance at the tyres.
I expect with these aftermarket telemetry TPS the sensor/radio battery life must be a big issue, so they might need to be moved to "arm" them as a battery life preserving feature?
We have the TC215B but I always check the tyre pressures on the van before setting off and then put the Tyrepal sensor on. It normally seems to register straight away. It only takes a couple of seconds to put the sensors on and I don't like leaving them on the van in case someones decides to steal them !
The batteries in the sensors last around 2 years, but to do this they switch off when not being used and then re-activate once you are moving.
The pressures on the car tyres need to be adjusted for towing anyway, so again I put the correct pressure in and then put the sensor on.
I have been very impressed with the system so far.

You should always check the pressures before starting off even though you have the tyre monitor fitted.
Whilst your checking them a quick glance over it to check for cuts and bulges or cracking etc.
I have difficulty bending down which is one of the reasons why we purchased the item. The wife has to remove the sensors as my fingers cannot hold the allen key.
Also difficult to see whether the tyre is low pressure or not visually due to the uneveness of the ground.
At a cost of £200 I expect the sensors to wake up once the control unit is switched on.
