Brother in law has just purchased a caravan with a powrtouch auto engaging mover on we cannot seem to get it to engage the rollers spin so there is power new battery in the remote is it just a case of pressing the centre button on the remote or do you press something at the same time anyone got any ideas

You press the centre button and the arrow in the direction you want the rollers to go to engage on the tyres.
Then, once engaged you press the arrows to move the van.

Hi,this may be a silly question, but are you sure its an auto engaging one? We have the powrtouch on our van, but we have to use the spanner thing to push the rollers onto the caravan tyres. If we don't push the rollers onto the tyres they just spin and do nothing.

Do you have a toggle switch in your battery compartment ? Ours has and one way engages and other way disengages.

We are on our third MM.
The first one did not have the battery switch but the last 2 does.
I was told (on here) that it is now mandatory to have such a switch.

We have a red key to turn on power to it,and underneath a toggle switch turn towards wheel to engage ,towards the A frame to disengage ,and middle position at all other times. Ours is the one with the white remote.

Ours controls the wheel engagement/disengagement from the hand set controller.

I have never seen anything like you are describing, nor have I seen any adverts for such a thing.

Is it possible that yon "toggle switch" is some modification by a previous owner?
