Hi, I have just purchased a Rapido Folding Caravan. The water pump is internal and not external so I am limited on space for the water container. Would it be any easy thing to convert it to an external pump? I am also looking for instructions on how to erect the caravan?
Can anyone help please.

Just feed a pipe and wires through the floor. Simple job.

Keey the holes as small as possible to stop things crawling in though.

This strikes a chord.
I have a Rapido Orline 33E. The water pump is an external submersible with a socket to the rear of the LH wheel arch, into which connects the pump via a bayonet-type socket and plug that carries both water and 12v electrics. The pump is controlled via a knob mounted on the front of the sink unit. The knob has a micro-switch that activates the pump, and also a water metering on/off facility.
My water pump packed up whilst out in the van this last week, so I have examined my repair options.
For about £50 I can buy new water pump and socket, either micro-switch or pressure-sensitive.
Or (probably the option I will take) a Whale or Carver 12v submersible pump that I will graft onto the existing plug. That's about £12.
Container-wise, I have 5-gallon waste and 5-gallon fresh water plastic jerry cans. Both fit exactly in the void under the front table when in fold-up mode. Dimensions gladly supplied if required.

Hi Alec
Do you think it possible to fit an external water source so that it draws water from an aquaroll rather than have the water source inside the caravan? I spoke to a caravan supplier who said that this could be done and that all of the newer models have external sources but run via electric pump
