Hi.
I have just purchased a Bailey Ranger 500/5 2003. The grey cable for connecting to a 7s socket on the tow bar has had the plug cut off. I believe this is for charging the battery whilst driving, and for the 12 volt supply for the fridge. I am having difficulty finding a wiring diagram to help. To add to the confusion, this grey cable only has 5 cores, not 7. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thank-you.
hi try google i put in 5 core diagram it came up as . no 1 top yellow is reversing light . then go clock wise no 2 blue battery charging if got one if not its a spare.no 3 white earth. no 4 green postive straight from battery . no 5 brown spare. no 6 red is fridge .no 7 earth return for fridge i got this info of armaitages trailer and towbar agents hoe this helps
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Thanks for that. Just one more question. The 5 core cable doesn't have a blue core. does this mean that the car will not be charging the caravan battery whilst driving?
Maybe call the people in the link for the correct advice.
------------- XVI yes?

I have a copy of a Bailey electrical drawing which you can view at this link here. Go to page 11 where it shows the 7S wiring, using only 5 wires and the colour allocation you quote.
This drawing is for a later series, but I can't see any reason why the scheme would have been changed.
I'm curious why the plug was cut off though, seems odd. Any idea why this was done?
That's in line with the one I found. Pin 4 interior lights and charge will probably go through a habitation relay which will automatically isolate interior lights etc and charge the battery when plugged into the car with engine running.
