I use a delongi bambino oil rad to keep us warm in the van as we don't have blown air heating. This has always been great but it has now broken and a new one is expensive. Much cheaper versions are on the market but I don't want to buy something that won't keep us warm. Can any of you nice people recommend one please?

They are all made in China, cheaper brands are just as good. Buy one of same kw rating, ie 1.5kw or 2kw & it will keep you just as warm.

That's what I thought thanks, I will go cheap and cheerful. 1.5 k should be OK for campsite electrics I would think.

Have you checked whether it has an overheat reset button.
the spec does quote, Overheat safety protection
If it has it will save you a few quid.

Most oil filled radiators are thermostatically controlled.
Even the one we got at £19.89 and have now used for 4 years, first in our FC and now in the caravan.
