I know another awning size issue😊 I have a swift challenger 530 year,2007.the awning rail measures 9.63 floor to floor and is confirmed on swift website. I want an isabella awning but the isabella site says the a frame measurements are 980 and requires 975? Please help as I don't want to waste lots of money. The fine print says this. . A-measurement is the length from the ground, through the rail of the caravan to the ground (about 30 cm to the side).what is the 30 cms?

The awning will only be about 5 inches bigger which you can lose 2 inches either end. It is always best to go slightly bigger anyway just in case the ground slopes away from the doorway because if it's too short it will be difficult to make the material stretch and peg out.
As an example, my handbook states 886 cms. but I bought a Dorema 900 awning which fits just right.

A size 13 950 to 980cms covers both swift and Isabella measurements in your thread.
why not look at dorema's web site you could get an awning for your van for about £639 instead of £1030 they are great awnings just as good as Isabella. Personally I think you are just paying snob value for Isabella as I have owned both.

My Dorema awning is 3 meters wide which I bought brand new back in 2011 from their factory clearance for just under £400 so it's worth having a look as you could save a few hundred pounds.

Call, write or email Isabella UK and ask about your specific van.
They used and I expect still do measure for themselves each caravan that comes on the UK market, so are sure which size product is needed.
I did this and required a different size awning to that the van maker published, and it fitted a treat.
I have always found them a very helpful company to deal with.

Different manufacturers have differing sizes for awnings that seem to have the same quoted size check each awning for the range that it is supposed to cover to be sure.

Measure it yourself .instead of coming straight down out the awning railyou measure 30cm to the side.
Do not buy one too big it is a huge very expensive mistake .our 270xl superiour dorema was meant to be the correct size according to swift measurements but was too big if they are too big you can't get them taut enough to prevent water pooling the awning we had before though a size to small fit perfectly .Isabella are far better imo
I have tried pyramid and dorema and the Isabella is a cut above .hths
