Hello All---just bought a radio/cd in almost new condition for my caravan-----caravan had wiring already there so wired it up to ISO connecter switched radio on & it lit up for about a tenth of a second then went off--I checked all fuses & nothing had blown I repeatedly switched power on & off & the same thing happened----hope some electrical expert can help----thanks Ray
Thanks for that----when I connected red & Yellow wires together rather than separately everything worked---hope this will help someone if there doing the same job-----Ray
I have encountered some manufacturers who reverse the permanent live and switched live wiring for some reason; permanent live is for memory retention and the switched is obviously for the ignition to shut the unit off.
It's likely this is what you have encountered.
