I have had to swap the barrel as the keys kept bending as the lug had broken off.
My problem is when I come back to fit it all together I’ve got a spring where I don’t know how to put it back in .
This keeps the handle tight please can someone help

Is it a circlip? Like a letter 'C' with a small hole at each end.

If so, you can get circlip pliers which squeeze the ends together or you can use 2 pointed objects which is more fiddly but possible.
