Has anyone got any comments on Countryside Leisure, Chelmsford please. Friends thinking of buying a new caravan from them.

We bought ours from there, did get a fairly good deal, have it serviced there too. We did find a bit of damp in ours at the first service after we bought it, it's a 2009, and it took a fair while to get it sorted, mind you caravan parts seem to take for ever to come in. We say sometimes you do feel as though you are doing them a favour, when we first looked he said to us he had just turned the computer off when we enquired about a van.
We have the last service booked before warranty runs out but we will then have a mobile service done as seems to be a bit cheaper. Some of the vans seem to have been there a fair while too. They are partnered with Cranham Caravans. I think we use them because our storage is next door and just easier. The trouble is there are not too many dealers around either, if you buy something too far away and there are problems it's just the hassle of a long round trip to get it sorted.
I would say if there is something there you like at the right price, haggle haggle haggle. We were looking last weekend and there are a few nice vans up there at the moment.
