We are looking at second hand Arivas, and am confused about the heating. Many ads offer 'blown air' heating. Does anyone know if these models also have a conventional gas heater/radiator too? or is it just the blown air heating. Thanks!
The blown air system normally has a ggas/electric fire in the main part of the van which feeds a blown air system to the rest of the van. The blown air part can be selected or switched off.
The vans with radiators have the Alde wet system similar to a domestic set up.

664DaveS - thanks, that mostly answers my thought - and I can't give a year/model - am still looking, but needed a little clarification. Thanks both of you. B
Just to complicate things a little, some of the later models may not have the traditional gas fire fitted, but a duel fuel gas/electric blown air system only, often with the working parts fitted below floor level. If memory serves me well, as its over a year since we regularly used to visit our local Lunar dealer, the Ariva, being such a compact caravan, did have this type of system fitted to its later models as a space saving feature.
TBH, our latest Elddis has no traditional gas fire, and manages quite nicely even on the coldest of nights by using its blown air heating. The other advantage is that the system also has an outlet into the bathroom, which helps things dry quickly after the shower has been used, as well as the obvious advantage of being nice and warm whilst using the facilities or getting changed.
Good luck with your search for a new van, and Merry Christmas to you,
Julia

We have a Venus with blown air heating and no fire. Works ok but doesn't reach the rear bathroom for some reason. No pipes under caravan, all internal and look to be connected. Annoying!
