Hi. We are looking xto buy a caravan very soon and wondered if anyone knew of some decent caravan dealers in the high Wycombe area. We have been to Michael Jordan's and was very impressed but we are staying in H.W. this week so wondered if there was any places near here we could visit.
The most decent dealer will be within a few miles of where you live. If you get problems then he will sort them because you can be on his case at anytime. If you buy miles away from where you live the dealer will know you can't keep bringing the 'van back so you are more likely to get fobbed off.

this guy sold me a caravan said it had a six month warranty ,because he had no way of demonstrating that all
items in van worked ,so brought and got home to find it had a problem with the gas the charger was broken and also sink had a crack in it .I rang the dealer and he told me to get them sorted and send him the bill, I got a new charger/power supply and sent the bill he started by denying he had got it but after several calls said he wasn't going to pay it because he did want too
and put the phone down
please don't use this dealer I paid 3500 so wasn't a cheap deal
Not sure how far away High Wycombe is from Warwickshire, but we have had decent service from Raymond James Caravans. The dow side is the 70mile drive down from home if ever wd need any servicing or repairs doing.

We've only dealt with 2 separate dealers before - supposedly 'reputable', and i wouldn't buy off either again. Dealers are interested in one thing; and thats your money.
At the end of the day the 'dealer', is a bloke who works for a company who pay him a commission to flog their wares. They arent bothered if something goes wrong at a later date. They have your signature - or more accurately - £££'s, and its the 'dealership' that will have to sort you out, not their own pocket.
As said, buy as close to home as possible. Get someone who really knows about caravans to look over your intended purchase, and beat them down to the ground on price.
If you go 12 months without any issues, think of it as breaking even - and bloody lucky. And have your subsequent servicing/repairs done by a recommended mobile fitter.
Got to recommend Broad Lane Leisure, we travelled fair distance for the caravan, they collected the van from us to sort the odd problem we have and delivered it back all done, fantastic service, we are very impressed.
forget Robinsons at Worksop, sold me a 18 months old caravan, just as the warranty ran out I found a major problem. They wouldn't even look at it. Cost me nearly £2000 to put right. A year later I found out from an ex employer that they knew the caravan had a problem when they sold it to me
