We're in both clubs, mainly use C&CC sites and the insurance and breakdown cover they provide. We were given a CC membership as a present last year and have used 2 of their sites. Both clubs have their followers and I'm sure that many people will advise which is best based on their preference. From the 2 CC sites we have visited, we found the shower and toilet facilities to be of a higher standard than those we have experienced on the C&CC sites we have used.
No right or wrong - really depends on what you will use clubs for
Both similar price both have nice club sites, both have network of smaller sites, both run rallies and both have an overseas section that ca give good deals as well as other things like insurance and breakdown cover!
Anything else is really just opinion as you will get plenty of differing ones of those!
We are in both but get more use out of the CC membership
We belong to both, for CLs/ CSs, as we rarely use any other type of site. Peanuts for the prices of most. We have CC insurance which was brilliant when our caravan was stolen.
The CC has more of its own sites than the C&CC. However if they are not in the places you want to go its doesn't really matter. We have been members of the CC for over 30 years and mainly use their sites but more recently we joined the C&CC and have used a few of their sites, all have been good. It will depend on how much caravanning you are able to do but joining both is one way to go.
Neither,
Used to be with the C&CC but let it go. Couldn't see any benefit in the outlay. Sure they both have some good sites, but as previously stated they have to be where you want to go. There are some pretty good sites out there which you don't have to be a member of any club to use. I still use the occasional club suite, mainly for stop overs. I used a C&CC site earlier in the year and used a discount from UKC, got it cheaper than a member. Half the fun with touring is looking for where you want to go then checking out site reviews Google maps etc.
Yea you can get it wrong, but you move on, literally.
------------- Just saying
If all is not lost where is it then?
We also picked which club had good sites within the areas we liked . We had memberships for both C&CC and C.C. for a few years and ended up staying with the C.C. for the reasons mentioned, we have been members for many years.
We do not just use club sites, there are many excellent private sites which we also use.
Both clubs have the small 5 van type sites and some are really very good.
------------- It is a wise man who has something to say.
It is a fool who has to say something.
We started with C&CC but have also joined CC this year. All sites of similar clean and reasonably peaceful standards. Will probably stay with both, we like the magazines and websites, also used them for continental travel. Just felt more comfortable booking sites through them.
