We had our first trip in the van and I have to say it all went well. The services [ water/gas and mains ] worked fine and we even had to turn the fridge down. Ice on your lettuce isn't great. The 12v side has been diagnosed by the fitter and he's coming at the end of the month to replace the cable to the 7 pin plug and fit a new sprocket to the handbrake. Towsure didn't get our new awning with extension here in time [ we got it after we got home ] but we had a porch in the attic left over from our last van. All things considered we done well.
My walking buddy seemed to enjoy himself with lots of room to run.
and somewhere comfy to relax.
If the weather had been kinder it would have been a bonus.
Just one more thing. The hitch on the van is of a kind I haven't seen before. I want to put an Alco onto it with the stabilizer on it. We didn't have a stabilizer at all.
Can I do this myself? Cant wait till we can get out with everything fixed and working well. I have also ordered a new front for the Trauma Gas fire just to tidy that up, although the fire works fine, the cover is unsightly.

Be aware that you will also need an Alko Towball for your Alko Stabiliser as the Alko Stabiliser hitch will not fit a standard towball.
Thanks LobbyDosser. It look that way. I need to get a 50mm ball.
Hi Ichiefeet, On an Alko Towball the actual ball is the same size as a normal towball but the shank that fits between the towball mounting plate and the ball itself is slightly longer to allow freedom on movement of the Alko Hitch.
If you put an Alko Hitch onto an ordinary towball, the hitch itself will jam on the mounting point.
