Hello im looking to buy a microwave for my abbey vouge, There is alot off storage space, so i was thinking about using one off the storage cupboards to hold the microwave in, What type off microwave would suit? is there a way i can connect it into the vans electric? i dont like to see wire coming down and into a plug socket? Thanks

A small house hold one will do as long as there is enough space at the back to let it Breath,how you wire it in to the 240v is up to you.(fused)

Can you take a spur from another electric point and have the sock in the cupboard? As to which type well I suppose that depends on how much you want to spend but the Inverter type are much lighter which might we an advantage in a caravan.

We have a small Daewoo QT microwave. It's really good. We fitted a large vent in the side of the cupboard and the cord and plug come out of a hole next to the vent and into the socket above.

Do consider the weight as mentioned and ventilation. You would need to look at where vents are on microwave as not all at same place

Don't forget the weight comes out of your payload and they aren't light!

We also use the Daewoo QT, it is fitted in the low kitchen cupboard above the axle. The 240v 3 pin plug is also in the cupboard (fused spur). There is plenty of room around it for ventilation and it works just great.

Hi, we travel with our microwave in the car then put it into place once on site. better for the microwave and less weight in the caravan.
