If you have a caravan step like either of these,

and have the misfortune to wear through the plastic feet, then this company will be able to help you out. The rubber feet that they supply have a metal washer in them so this should stop you ever wearing through again.
Could save your awning carpet from being holed.

Please forgive me if something like this has been posted before.

Wish you'd posted before. Our feet lasted about 3 days and ended up going through our carpet. We have returned to our Fiamma plastic step. Hopefully this will help a lot of people, why can't they use these in the first place!

We use Castor Cups to stop ours from cutting holes in the mats. They work well.

This might be off topic but I've often wondered why caravans do not have some sort of steps attached that pull out when the caravan is pitched. Many motor homes seem to have something like that and it would be good to have something easy to use on a caravan.

-------------
We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.

We use castor cups and they are good on soft ground as the feet never sink in

Tried the castor cup route, and must admit found it quite dangerous.

We only use ours on the Jigsaw Mats. On soggy ground, no cups, just let the feet sink in. ( must lose some more weight! )

As I too am a bit on the chunky side we went for a different design, one which uses a 'U' shaped tube as a base and therefore exerts less pressure in one spot.

IF you just want to renew the rubber cups go to a mobility shop but take diameter of tube with you and ask for walking stick rubber ferrels. You will find that they are a lot thicker on the base some are ringed on bottom some are stipled.                                                  I have purchased 4 new rubbers then using two pieces of timber 27" x2" x3/4" thick.        I drilled holes in timber to match centre of new rubbers when fitted on step/,s legs coutersunk timber then screwed in  No 10 wood screws through timber through rubber and centre of washer so head is just into timber (to protect carpet)    This makes for a very stable set of steps on slightly uneven ground or grass and protects awning carpet.

plastic steps tend to twist and i have known  for the legs to spray and collapse outwards dumping the user on their back side which needed a A&E visit.

I have used large caster cups for over 20 years and they are just fine. And never fell off the steps

I also changed to the Milenco step last year because of the same problem. It's a bit awkward getting it in and out of the caravan but there is no more sinking.
