What is the best way to stop large pools of water on an awning roof? I had problems with a Conway folding camper. Same with quest elite Blenheim. I now have an Isabella forum awning. It is 3.5 metres deep. The front metre is nice and tight but the main section is where I get the rain pools. I set it up as per Isabella website video. I use a Hercules to tighten all the poles. I've tried the pole strips in first, second and third holes. I have two additional roof poles making seven in total. Should I use more roof poles or some cross poles? Should I lower the corner poles more even if the canvas becomes slack? My caravan is a lunar freelander 640. Is there a cure for this please?

You're front of the awning is maybe to high. It needs a slope to get the water running off. I have experienced this when pitched on sloping ground !. I also carry a pair of verandha poles which I fasten across the roof if pooling occurs !

As above but,it may have already stretched with the weight of the last pools of water sitting on it.Could try some more poles but if stretched wont cure it .

I have sympathy. I've got the same issue with my porch awning. As Jeff says, it might be too late as the material has stretched. I'm not sure that you can make the front go any lower as the fittings for the pole prevent it being stretched further. I'd be interested to know if you solve this.

Thank you for the replies. That 'these' above, has given me inspiration. The problem seems to be, because the awning is 3.5metres deep there is a full extra set of poles at 2.5metres and because the extra front metre is tight its stops the main 2.5 metre roof from tightening. If I run a set of poles across the main roof poles and put two floor to ceiling poles keeping them slightly higher than the middle set it might work? Markwind's comment above is also relevent as the poles looked the same height as the caravan? Poor design? from Isabella? I am looking to use the awning for seasonable next year and want to iron out this problem? I will make sure the awning is lower than the caravan.
