Aldi caravan cleaner is good

I prefer prevention leave a piece of awning tape in the awning rail which stops the water draining down the sides

hi have used aldi cleaner and other products which work fine but found a piece on you ltube by fenwicks that shows you how to clean the rubber round you windows that with a

little bit of work keeps the black marks away for a few months hope this is of use

I can definitely recommend the Aldi cleaners as have been using them all afternoon the van is gleaming.

Well, I have tried all of the above with the exception of the Aldi products to little or no avail and have even tried meths !
The fenwicks video has been watched and I have stuck a load of effort into it this afternoon with poor results.
Any further suggestions ?

Are you sure it is black streaks from the windows etc,can you post a picture? Only other thing that i know what definately works on black streaks is lighter fuel and a cloth.

I have no idea how to post a photo I am afraid.
The streaks are coming down from the offside awning rail and I believe it to have come from close parking to trees on a slight camber so as any water coming off the roof ran down over the side leaving black streaks.

AUTOGLYM engine and machine cleaner...like a knife through butter. Expensive but it works great.

Try Carplan Tar Remover. Works like magic with very little rubbing. Works on plastics and aluminium. Given the black stuff is probably the muck that comes out of exhausts, tar remover makes sense.

Showroom shine is good, it has removed not only black streaks off the caravan but tyre marks off the car when son decided he wanted to be in the same lane a s a lorry on a roundabout!!! The lorry one and son ended up on the roundabout!
