Does anyone know if I can hitch a trailer onto a caravan to put a disabled scooter on it

No. Not designed for it. No where to attach a tow bar. It would be uncontrollable.

you would need to submit a detailed plan to VOSA and comply construction & use regulations including braking on both trailers.

You can`t do it legally.

However, if you can be classed as a "showmans vehicle" (like a travelling fair or circus) you can do pretty much whatever you want.

You can then have trailers on trailers, don`t need to conform to C&U regulations, pay road tax, have to have MOTs etc. etc.

Wonder what I need to do to get the car/caravan reclassified

We got my FIL a smaller scooter for travelling with.

I looked at the weights and initially you think i can carry 500kg in the car so shouldn't be a problem.

Add 3 passengers + luggage and it soon drops though.

His scooter was around 100kg with batteries i think? The one we picked up was much lighter and folded up to fit into the boot easily.
