If it's a van for travellers, then not only will it be difficult trying to insure it but I would imagine that it will be virtually impossible trying to find a campsite that will accept it as well.

i know its a daft question but what defines a van as being a "travellers" van..
and race discriminations springs to mind if this is the real reason such vans are discriminated against.. i always thought that was illegal but maybe i am wrong.. he he
may years ago some pubs in my town had signs outside saying "no travellers".. they all had to come down..
Hi, we insure our caravan with, NFU mutual, they insure all sorts be surprised if they don't help. also good if you make a claim, and not as expensive as some quotes I get.
you would have lost the argument i think.. when the gypsies became a "race" the whole game changed.. the word traveller is used as a euphemism for gypsy.. which to any other person than a true Romany or Gypsy is an insult..
it all got a little muddied with peole called "new age travellers" but that craze never hung around for long..
i live in what is traditional a travellers town.. some are true gypsies some are not.. travellers is the "polite" term for them all.. there are less polite ones but i wont quote them.. :)

Some English people called them 'Tinkers' which I though was a slang term for Gypsies till I found out when I visited a museum that they were actually travellers that originated from Scotland.
