Hi, I am looking for something to clean my caravan carpets with and have read some good reviews of this machine. Does anyone else have one?
(Electrolux Stair and Carvac Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner, £41.99 on Amazon)

Or can anyone recommend anything else that they use? Thanks in advance.

Reviews say its heavy 3.6kg.

And the filter clogs quickly so you lose suction and its not a washable filter.

Of course it is reasonably heavy it is not a toy as so many light weights are; it has a powerful 600 Watt motor and powered, switchable brush so can't be much lighter.
We never let the caravan get that filthy that the capacity of the filter is an issue, the filter is easy to empty and to clean. I have never needed to wash the filter but I can't see any reason why it can't be washed it is only a synthetic fabric and the instructions don't mention not washing it.

Been very pleased with ours.

We've got one which was bought for the caravan, but I actually bring it in between trips as does the stairs a treat - much better than my Dyson.
I like it!

Thank you for your comments, Grampian91 I think I will take a trip to Currys to see exactly how heavy it is, as I need something lightish. Frannyvan I had planned on using it on the stairs too so it's good to hear it does that job well. JTQU thank you for the link.

I have one for the caravan, it cleans it well and as previously mentioned, the filter is easy to change and clean, the only thing I find is I find it a bit awkward to hold and the crevice pipe is extremely short but you're only working in a small space anyway.
