I bought my caravan last year and had great service. Today I took the van for its 1st service which was an hours drive away, but to my surprise ! How rude the service guy was sheesh.
I said the caravan Is excellent apart from some minor issues, I explained that I put little post it notes on the areas of concern, I offered to show him but with an instant reply of NO we dont look dont have time! , then in next breath was if any parts needed you will need to come back in 4/6 weeks !
I stated thats inconvenient, not my problem was the reply ! .
I just hope the service they do on caravan is good.
just a quick question on service do you need to take it back to the place you bought it to keep up warranties?
------------- Loads of CC sites to many to mention.
No you don't have to take the caravan back from where you purchased it from especially if the level of customer service is below the standard expected. It didn't used to be this way as the customer was completely restricted but the manufacturers eventually changed the way their customers got a better deal especially if long distances were involved.
Sterling is owned by the Swift Group so if you contact their customer services they should be able to provide with you a list of registered caravan dealers where you can take your caravan for warranty servicing.

Won't buy a brass washer from them. They are generally not very helpful and when we got them to quote us for a new van some years back (5?) the deal was £3k more expensive than to one we actually got elsewhere (Chichester Caravans) - they simply weren't interested in doing a deal quote 'take it or leave it' so we did!
