Have you closed the drain tap near the water heater?

I left mine open the first time out.

When you say 'fill the tank' are you referring to an exterior water barrel or an interior onboard water tank? Some caravans use both with the latter being used mainly for winter caravanning and has been known for a bypass valve to be involved causing a problem.

We have tried with the drain tap on and off still nothing.
And it's the interim on board tank.
We are puzzled has to why the water won't pump through but it is probably something and nothing but as we have no Manuel's it's proving difficult to find out what we are doing wrong thank you.

Does anyone know if there's some kind of shut off switch for the water pump for when the caravan is being stored over winter?

Now that you have explained that it's an inboard water tank and not a water barrel the pump may not be a submersible type that is used in a water barrel. However, not having any experience with this type of water tank all I can suggest is that you detect where the pump is and see if you can hear it running when you turn on a tap. If not then check the fuses as it may be a fuse that's blown causing the pump not to operate. I think that some caravans can use either the tank or water barrel for a water source in which case if yours has then there is probably a switch saying internal/external to which you need to have switched the correct way. Also have a look on the outside of the caravan for a pump connection housing and if you have then you have the option of using either. Inboard water tanks were not that popular in comparison to the normal water barrel and submersible pump which means that less people have any experience of them. Hopefully someone with an inboard tank can offer further help.

Look under the bunk where the tank is.On my Bailey there is a valve to let it flow.

AS Jeff above your on board water tank could be served by the same external water pump and if so there will be a changeover/directional valve that has to be opened under the bunk in the area of the water inlet before the internal tank can be used.

Hi, are you sure all of your micro switches are working? Try switching on more than one hot tap at a time, sometimes if there's a failure on one, then none work. (That's what happened in our Swift)

Try contacting the dealer or previous owner. They may give you the answer in an instant.
