My brainless springer uses his single brain cell to open the caravan door. Hopefully by fitting a LH opening lock instead of the existing RH lock, it should stop him opening the door. But now I have to explain to all who enter that the lock is fitted upside down.
But then again I will not be constantly moaned at that a stupid springer is crying outside the shower block door or is running loose.
Anyone else had this problem
Our dog got out once in the middle of the night. We woke up about 1:30 am to find the door open and him gone. Luckily we got him back safe after waking half the campsite shouting of him but it was a worry.
After that we used to put the table across the doorway then he couldn't reach the door catch.
I had this problem with a German Shepherd once, I did not alter the door or the lock. I did find that some lead behind his left ear cured him and solved my problem though.
my jack russell cross knows how to open the door in the house but cant jump high enough but my mothers boxer can open the back door and if it dosent open she trys to use the key but hasnt worked out what it does
I had a bin on the stable door of my motorhome hoping it would keep the dog away from the door. It didn't, she jumped up on the bin when the top half of the door was open and I only just caught her before she disappeared over the top.
We had to fit key lock bolts to our lounge and hall doors when we had our dog. She could push the doors open setting off the alarm!
Her bed was under the stairs, but she could get upstairs or into the kitchen. So she used to sneak up. We usually woke up to her curled up on our bed! ( Little monster but she was cracking dog!) Still miss her.

Sounds like quite a clever dog? Could be a place for him in the England football team<img align="absmiddle" src="forum_images/smiley29.gif" width="17" alt="17">
