Hi I'm new to caravanning we've just been out for our first trip and used the Carver water heater and it worked fine. There is a panel with an on switch which turned green. After reading instructions it said I could run heater off gas or electric. I'm not sure if I was running it off gas ? If I was does anyone know how to run it off electric? The instructions didn't make much sense to me. Thanks
When I had s acavan with that heater in it had two switches one for the electric with a rocker switch that had an led in, and a panel with three leds on for the gas.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
I'm sure it's the gas your using as the lights green, if then it's not quickly joined by the red fault light? then gas will be heating the water?
Electric heating depends on if you have that facility, if you have then there is a white plastic box on the inboard end of the heater with 240v cable coming out of it that hopefully will lead you to the nearby simple on/off switch.
Hi I've found the switch for the electric and I had it turned on but didn't seem to work only off gas. However I found the reset button so hopefully now it will work. Thanks.
