Hi all
Having just swapped our caravan for a much bigger one, I was left with a virtually new Bradcot Active awning with the very 'quick to erect' aluminium poles. I 'googled' and found I could fit the awning as normal at the back, and cut through the awning beading to make it fit like a porch awning at the front. I needed something to stop the awning beading scratching the van so I went to B&Q and bought some 9mm pipe insulation.
Saturday we put up the awning and measured where the cut should go. Hubby cut the beading and we put the awning back on the van, added the insulation and hey presto - a perfectly fitting combi awning. It fits to just past the front window on the van so could not have been more perfect. It looks so good, and so easy to put up that our friends are now trying to buy a similar awning to adjust for their van.
If you want to know the proper 'how to mak a combi awning' look on the Isabella site - shows you in details how to measure and cut.
Happy holidays
Jackie
