New to caravanning and just bought a Swift Utopia 530 (2003). Bit mystified by the various numbers suffixed to 'van names. For example, does "530"on my 'van actually mean anything? Seems a bit pointless if not.

So my Adria that has an internal length of 6.02m is called a 542 because ?

I think its a fairly standard convention, but perhaps its a british thing. I've just looked at the internal lengths of some older Swift Challengers:

470 and 480 are 4.7 metres
520 and 530 are 5.23 m

However, the 490 is listed as 5.3 metres, go figure!

As mentioned usually linked to the length. And the last number 524 or when the have 520/4 is the number of berths.
