Thought i would get more help here even though its a folding camper.
We bought a NTU one 2 weeks ago after a trailer tent, it lives on the drive and planned to store it with using caravan winter wheels to help preserve the tyres and stop theft.
I knew we were getting a running gear service, so I only fitted one winter wheel (being lazy). I have today put the wheel back on but my unit is leaning to one side (lower side was the side fitted with a winter wheel)
It was level when we picked it up, and was level when the winter wheel was fitted, but now its not??
Will it re-adjust? both tyres are at correct pressure, but the lean is really noticeable - the drive slopes backwards, down towards the house but side to side it completely level.
Am i stressing over nothing, or have a done something to the chasis/axle only fitting one winter wheel for 2 weeks?
Would i be better storing/sitting it on axle stands? always thought they looked at bit precarious

If it was me I would just bounce up and down a couple of time over each wheel it could be jacking it up has unsettled the suspension and a good bounce will sort it, give it a try and see what happens you've nowt to lose and it might just sort it.
Its rubber suspension, you will sometimes get them slightly unlevel, it can't be adjusted but its not a problem if its not too extreme. The winter wheels won't make any difference.
I find spraying the rubber suspension bits with silcone spray works well on my caravan which is 1980s so give this a try & tow it around for a bit, but otherwise the only cure is a new axle.
I'm assuming here you have an Al-ko type axle/suspension or are they individual units as on a small trailer?
Google tells me that NTU is an American made camper, is that correct?
You dont have a problem just put on the two wheels and lift it off the ground.All you are doing is taking the weight off the rubber suspension which is a good thing
well its 12 years old, its lived in a garage and hasn't been used for 4 years, of those 8 years it was used once a year for a week.
The condition of it would suggest thats true, its immaculate apart from this now.
So what I have gathered from your advice, it sit it on axle stands taking the weight off the rubber suspension, and give it a spray with some silicone spray?

Ah! There are indeed some US made folding campers in the UK, I think they were imported for a while. But yes, all you can do is proceed as advised & see how it goes but if the suspension has had it then there is a good availability of Al-Ko parts going back to the 80s.
Are the brakes on? Drop the handbrake and see if it drops.
When you lower it after fitting the wheel the wheel may want to turn slightly.
If the brakes are on then it wont be able to so the brakes hold it higher.
Hard to explain but its a bit like having the handbrake on and then reversing the car. If the brakes are good the rear of the car should rise up.
Some people may have notice a similar issues when unhitching the van from the car. If it wont unhitch its probably because friction has jacked the rear of the car with the ball. Release the cars handbrake and the rear of the car drops clear.
