Ok then this may seem simple but I'm looking for advice.

We are in the market for a new full awning, due to money are looking at the more budget end of the market so no Issabela for us.

So far I have got it down to Dorema (Garda), Kampa (carnival) and Bradcott (aspire). I'm been dragged towards the Dorema as they offer an optional Sun canopy which we may get at a later stage.

My question is: has anyone got experience of these awnings (good or bad) and has anyone got or seen a universal Sun canopy that would fit the Bradcott or kampa?

Many to thanks Stu

The Dorema set up looks great but would you have a big enough pitch to get it all on? The awning is 240 deep and the canopy is another 240 so it would be huge.

It is big but on the continent pitches are big enough, which is what we are thinking of.

There are very few awnings that will take a sun canopy so your choice is very limited and I've never come across a universal canopy.

Have a look at Obelink for some foreign alternatives. They are a Dutch firm but they post to UK without any problems, lots of people have bought tents and canopies from them. Obelink do loads of awnings and canopies that we don't normally see here and they are usually very well priced.

Back to the original question, I've had Dorema and Kampa awnings and they have all been good and not given us any trouble. Bradcot have always been too dear when I've wanted one.

Mmm many thanks for the reply, I shall have a good look around. Good to hear the Dorema and kampa are good quality.

We had a dorema awning with our last caravan and we couldn't fault it. The quality was very good. With our new caravan we were more on a budget as we stretched ourselves to buy the caravan so we bought a Leisurewize Apollo awning last weekend. We haven't put it up yet but looking at the fabrics and stitching it looks to be of decent quality for the price we paid. (£500 for a 1050)
