Hoping someone here may be able to help me out, we have just purchased a Sterling Elite 2008, lovely van and very pleased however it wasn't fitted with a CD player god knows why as i thought all modern Caravans were these days, i'd like to install one, can anyone tell me if the wiring would already be installed and where it may be found.

Can i assume that its the dealers that would of installed CD players.

Their brochure gives this as standard spec:

Radio/CD/MP3 player with iPod connection with upgraded premium radio speakers
Premium speakers in washrooms

The website shows this spec for the current model, but was this applicable for a 2008 model too? It may have been an option at that time.

I wouldn't think that the loom is fitted as standard. If there's no evidence of a unit having been fitted, then I suspect you'll have to consider a fresh install.

Thanks for the reply's i have read through a few posts on the subject on other forums and many seem to think that a wiring loom is fitted as standard at the factory on most caravans, i'll have a look when i get the van on thursday, you never i might be in luck.

Thanks for the replies, i have since found out that it has a TV/DVD/RADIO factory fitted as standard hence why it hasn't got a Car type stereo fitted.
