I ordered a Kampa Rally Air 390 from a large online retailer at the beginning of March with a promised delivery date around the end of April.

I've just got off the phone from them, only to be told that they've received a message from Kampa stating that only a fraction of their orders will be fulfilled. Apparently they're only receiving 2 of the above awnings! WHAT??! The supplier said the same thing happens every year. This means we won't have an awning for out May holidays and I'm thinking we won't be the only ones! What an appalling way to run a company - I feel pretty hacked off about this

Think their Air awnings sold well above expectations at both major shows so orders have been delayed and people are quite rightly being prioritised compared to when they paid deposit or ordered

Not sure whether it happens every year is simply sales speak from someone selling them to be honest

Hope you get your awning soon. Certainly plenty about this on other caravan forums

Looking at the hassle we saw on site last week with a couple putting theirs up I wouldn't bother. They said it was very heavy to pull through the awning rail and it looked very bulky too.You still have to peg it out and the only advantage is the lack of poles which are the easy bit as far as our 390 is concerned.

Thanks for the response guys.

The thing that I find frustrating is that if they were inundated with orders at the show (which I'm sure they probably were), why has it taken them until now to advise that orders won't be fulfilled?

As for this happening every year, it may not be every year but I definitely remember this being the case last year as it was well documented on the forums. It seems they haven't learnt from their mistake as many people appear to be buying their rivals products due to supply issues. I can't think of many companies that could afford to miss out on many potential orders of £600 or more - that's a lot of revenue going in to someone else's pocket!

A real shame as I've owned 2 Kapa awnings already I love the product.

We have a kampa rally pro 390 and an outdoor revolution oxygen porch lite. One has poles one has one air beam. There is virtually no difference in the time it takes to put them up. It's not the poles that take the time it's the pegging out.
