Bless her, she is dry as a bone, not a spot of condensation anywhere! A tiny bit of water in the bowl we put underneath the roof light (we had a small leak in the summer which we hoped we had fixed but with the terrible weather who knew if it would work) but everything was lovely. I am so relieved! There is a lot to be said for old lady caravans with lots of ventilation!
We went to check on our van on Tuesday and everything was fine so going down to spend the night on Monday. Can only stay one night because of other commitments but I'm soooo excited you'd think I was going for a month.
Took van to house for clean and stock up for next weekend. Bone dry but outside roof had a lot of green and bird droppings. One of the lockers had my old sun hat, must have been sweaty when put away was all mil-dewed. Excuse for new hat Battery fitted, 12.5V, not bad for straight out of the garage. Black streaks cleaned off, looking good. Next weekend will be attending our 1st CC rally at Forfar. Last year at about the same time woke up to 2 inches of snow. Thats next check the heating
Forgot to had this was the first tow with the new car, Hyundai iX35, it was only a mile but felt good. Detachable towbar on and off no problem.
Glad your vans OK. We had a lovely wee Elddis, 2001, dry as a bone and, in the the caravan dealers words, pristine and the best condition of a van for that age he had seen.
It was too small so we sold it for what we had bought it for and bought a pig in a poke, or a white elephant or whatever phrase there is for a load of damp c**p. it's back to the drawing board for us! But I do know the feeling of going into a van ay the beginjing of the season and finding it in tip-top condition. Well done
Our van is on front drive and we have started to get her ready!! Sat and had cuppa in her. I get really excited toi . Our first trip is at end if this month!!
Ours is in for repair a window seal leaked (again)and also the handle by the door which we had professionally fitted also leaked so new window seal and wallboard been installed Not bad for a £20,000 caravan...
On our second trip of the year at present at an Adult only site at Thornton Le Dale in North Yorks for the week. Glorious sunshine today. Last month it was Castleton.
Get your vans out folks
