Hi I am going away without ehu, I have charged my batteries at home but the caravan wouldn't light up when turned on my caravan is a bailey beachcomber 500/5 I cannot work out why it wouldn't work can anybody help.
I assume you've flicked on the 12v control switch; you'd be suprised how you can overlook the obvious. Is all lighting dead? Check for fuses/trips and if other 12v equipment operates (water pump).
You mention batteries (plural); what are you connecting up to the van?
Finally, and I might be wrong, but I thought the Beachcomber series was predominantly mains, 240v lighting, which obviously won't operate from the battery.
I recently got the van back after a service & was upset because the (12v) lights didn't work.
I complained, & the guy very gently suggested I use the switch by the door.
You know, the one that switches off all the lights when you go out.
<Forgetful idiot makes apology & leaves>
Thanks for the help I have just bought it so still working everything as dealer wasn't very helpful so it was easier to try to work out myself which is not good
