Hi.
Does anyone know if the tyre pressure of my tyres should be as stated on the caravan even with tyron bands fitted. I would ask my supplying dealer but they have gone bust!!!!!

We've always gone with the stated pressures. As far as I'm aware the Tyron bands don't make any difference to the pressures.

Having had Tyrons on three vans I never changed the pressures from what was originally recommended by the caravan maker.

The bands have no bearing on the tyre pressures.

Different brands of tyres may need a few extra or a few less PSI though. Try the recommended pressures and keep an eye on the wear pattern.

Centre band worn more than the shoulders = over-inflated. Wear on both shoulders more than the centre its under-inflated.

Odd wear on the inner or outer only needs a proper inspection.

Its always a good idea the have the wheels balanced, especially with Tyron Bands fitted.

When i had some tyres fitted at ATS i got some AVON supervan tyres. They seemed rather shocked when i said they forgot to balance them.

The said they dont need balancing for a caravan.

I had to insist.

got tyrons fitted on mine ,pressure as stated there used to be a good graph on here to work out pressures for different vans with different tyre types etc ,wonder where its gone .

always have your tyres balanced it does make a difference .
