We are away in the caravan and we have no power though the sockets it has not tripped the board or the outside we have lights working charger working water heater working but no sockets ??

Have you definitely checked the trips on the consumer unit (fuse board) in the van? There will usually be a socket specific fuse/trip. They will trip to a central position and sometimes not easy to see if they have gone. They need switching to the 'off' position to reset before switching back 'on'.
If you know the charger is definitely running (which is also mains powered), then it can only be a socket related issue.
Did anything occur when the sockets failed? You need to identify if something plugged in has caused this problem (fridge etc).
You also mention the water heaters running ok; I assume you're running this off the mains too at the moment? If so, it points further to a socket specific trip.
I had this problem and it was the fridge that was causing the problem, we ran the fridge on gas for the rest of the holiday.
Got it repaired when we got home.

From memory (my Swift is 70 miles away) the trip switch for the sockets is the left hand one of the 3 as you face them. Ours goes regularly when we have the heating on 2000w and forget to turn it down before we put the kettle on!
We once lost all our power. Nothing tripped, either in our out. This was half an hour after firing everything thing up. We hooked my mates van to our post - all fine. We hooked our van to my mates post - all fine. What the hell was it?
Turned out to be a dodgy plug on the loaned length of hook up from the site owner due to us being 2 yards short of the post. It must have been only just connecting to start, because it had melted the terminal inside when i stripped it down. For the first time ever, i only had the one hook up with me, and i fell foul.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
