We have only used the motor mover a few times & when we used it last time the manual engagement shaft got bent so hubby used the the other end to move van but now that side is bent don't know what to do now?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
First of all if the cross shaft is bending something is wrong with the movers. Either the are tight to move due to lack of lubrication or the have been fitted incorrectly. The cross shaft is only hollow square profile and if you can’t get one from makers I am sure you can buy a length on EBay and make your own.
Who do you use to service your van? They should be able to sort it out; if you haven’t had a service lately, it’s a good investment. https://www.mobilecaravanengineers.co.uk/
My cross actuator bar sheared off behind one of the mover units (for unknown reasons - suspect damage in fitting by dodgy dealer! - must get it fixed under warranty - it's not an uncommon problem!), I had to remove the bar entirely to stop it dragging on ground at broken end. But both motor units are free moving and easy to operate individually, so no stiff/binding/unlubricated engagement mechanism.
Yours sounds like a different problem, but without knowing your units brand or model, it's difficult to advise. Most of the MM manufacturers, Powrtouch especially, have a good back up service, so advice and spares if needed are not usually a problem.
Best suggestion is get a service engineer to look at it (mobile ones are usually cheaper than fixed premises ones, and will come to wherever the van is), clearly something is wrong, worse case is it fails with the MM engaged with the tyre, then you are rendered immobile and unable to tow or even push/move longer distances!
Can I enquire as to what make and model your mover is please.
------------- XVI yes?

If its a Powrtouch, Reich or Emove - then they have a 5 year warranty and I suspect other brands offer similar. What make is the mover? Most recommend the lubrication every 6 months or every year. eg powrtouch lubricaiton
