I am thinking of keeping the caravan on a site, but not sure of any. Ide either like to go to st annes, fleetwood, carnforth, lancaster or the lakes. Does anyone know of any in these areas. Thanks
Since my sister lost her husband she has stored her van on a cub site. She doesn't drive so this suits her very well. It is not too costly at the moment . She pays for winter then summer . It is kept in storage then towed out and put on a pitch when she wants to use the van.
I think this is probably better than a seasonal pitch because they do charge a lot .
They are open all year but she can use it more often in low season when it is cheaper.
hi ask yourself if you put your van on site will you use it a lot as season pitches tend to be expensive mine is in wales and i pay 1800 but go every w/end and some holidays my children use it as well so we get our monies worth
Good lord it is expensive, I thought ide be saving money if I did that. MMM!! Maybe the tow in storage and tow out is the best thing then. I do know one that does that in garstang, nr blackpool but Ive been told that sometimes when you get there he has forgotten to get the van out so you have to wait around and that came from a chap who used to be on there.
Had ours on a site in Abergavenny this year. Cost was £1200 good price but even at that we didn't get our monies worth. Back to towing next year, Oh and you get fed up going to the same place, at least we did.

Yes thats a point, the only reason ime thinking of moving it is because its been damage twice in the storage it is on now and the owners dont really care, they are in it for the money and if there is any accident its up to you to get it sorted. It was a good think the owners of the car that hit my can were decent and payed up, because the site owners wouldnt get involved, after the accident they didnt even ring me it took 2 days before I went to take some stuff back and was shocked to find it had been moved back about a foot, wheel clamp has jammed under the van and hitch cover had been ripped to shreads.....
We have just moved our van to a storage compound at Turnover Hall Caravan site at St Michaels On Wyre.
It cost us £230 for the year, and they will tow out and put it on a pitch of your choice for £3 each way the you just pay the pitch fee for each night. Toilets and showers too.
i like my freedom, that is why a bought a "Touring" caravan, i did have a static at Litttlesea Weymouth years ago, cost a flippin fortune, dam boring or what , same old, same old group, every night. i wonder if they still have those two huge speaker/amps each side of the stage, it was earsplitting, people use to hide behind the pillars to have a conversation, ha ha.yeah tell me its still the same ??
