hi we have just picked up our new(to us) swift 2006 470 2 berth van we have a ventura marlin porch awning from our fleewood they said yes it would fit any van now forund out it might come across window we don't want a full awning as we are only the 2 of us hence getting the smaller van but a small porch would be to small as we have a dog can anyone give us any help thanks they have an isabellor minor in same as ours but would this be much smaller its in the used awnings at the moment any help appreciated thanks
I found this as well, the isabella major/ ventura Marlin is too big and would part cover a window, I have a minor and in use it is too small the floor area is just 6'x8'. So I bought a full awning. Then last year I bought an old Isabella 750 awning, cut the tape as per isabellas instructions and use it as a large porch awning.
So measure carefully from the ground at the rear, up around the awning channel to just before the rear of the window, and then straight down to the ground. Then choose an awning size just less than this. Try a second hand one from Ebay, and go and buy an isabella conversion kit ( breath in hard they are about £80 ). When you get it measure the height of the van to the awning rail where you want the front to drop very very carefully, measure the same distance along the awning tape from the bottom of the rubber peg holder, and using a stanley knife just cut the tape sufficiently to cut the hard insert. Then put the awning up and you will have a really nice sized awning, that is 8' deep. Pictures to follow

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
The awning/caravan protector pad can be bought for a tenner of ebay and the end upright pole would prob be the same.
The option above is def. the way to go
well we just traded it in at the dealers for the Isabella minor and only put £180 to it and ours was a 2004 marlin so not done too bad. Will deffo be looking at doing what you have done though as its ok for 2 of us and dog for a weekend but if we go for a week might be anoher matter.Have you got any step by step tips on how you did it as we have never tried anything like this before ad wouldt want to spend a couple of hundred pound on a full awning and ruin it as knowing our luck that's what would happen thanks
Ours is a 2 berth Lunar Ariva so it is small. We ended up with a full awning because the porch is to small for moving around in my wheelchair. The Venture Cadet did cover the window so another reason for a bigger one. Bob likes the window & door half open at night to help with his snoring.
We got a full awning size 800cm. (26ft ).Ventura Atlantic and very pleased with it as its dead easy to put up & down and we tend to beat many most people erecting it. It's only the pegs that take longer for us as I cannot help Bob only putting them where he needs them so he has no hassle to find them. Your van looks bigger than ours and if it is make sure of the size as on hols this year we saw a couple have a hell of a time putting one up that was too big for the van only to get another one that was too small.
