I'm looking at some older 2nd hand lunar quaser 615's buy older I mean 2003 - 2006.

Do they come with fixed carpet rather than vinyl? If they do is it easily removable?

I've got to be honest with things like pets / muddy fields etc I would not want carpet...

Our 1998 Compass Rallye came with 3 removable carpets 1 in the bathroom area 1 from the bathroom to the seating area and another in the seating area. We leave the carpet in the seating area down but removed the other 2 and underneath is vinyl much easier to clean

Greetings,

Difficult one to answer with authority.
Our Lunar Lexon (one up from Quasar) which was 2004 didn't have loose carpets.

2004 model here Click seems to have removable carpets - you can see vinyl at the edges.

Hi Again,

I'd like to correct my previous posting.
The Lunar we had was 2005 (not 04) and it DIDN'T have removable carpets. I know this to my detriment because I had to use copious amounts of enzyme cleaner around the toilet when we had a malfunction in the toilet (least said the better!!!)i

I'd also like to comment on Al+Mel's comment above.
It isn't the vinyl that can be seen in the pictures. That's the edge of the carpet at the front beside a blue extra carpet on top.
If you look at the photo showing the bunks and zoom in on the floor, you can see the fixtures have been put on top of a fixed carpet.

Thanks emmitdb, we totally fell for the van but have had to decide against it as we need moveable carpets.

We go in and out and the nature of camping esp. in the uk means mud and dirt and even more so when we have pets.

Our somewhat dis heartening search continues on.

Greetings Again Purple Ferrets,

Can I point you in the direction of the thread "Replacing Carpet in Van" started by beachbuggy on the 7th Oct.

On that thread is a photo of Al+Mels van and they have replaced the carpet with Wickes Vinyl tiles and the efeect is fantastic.

If you have fallen for your Quasar it might be the way to go for little outlay (pardon the near pun!!!)
