Right now I am communicating with a vendor who advertised on caravansforsale and through cc. Guess what – the caravan is in France, and they are willing to knock down the price, pay Escrow fees AND bring to my house this weekend!! But they wont give me any vin or cris details ( their lawyer told them not to divulge this info electronically! ) When I asked for a telephone number they told me they could only speak French and were using google translate for the emails. Hope this post helps someone else not get scammed.
That reminds me of the '2003' Hobby I liked on eBay until I found out it can't be, and the seller won't give me the reg. number! I for one won't be wasting my time over it.
You won't find it by wasting time replying to ads for well underpriced caravans though, there are as many variations to these scams as the scammers can dream up.
There are quite a few scams. Here is a reply we got to an enquiry my wife made regarding a caravan. All she actually asked was "what type of toilet does it have the older bench type or the newer type. here is the reply we got
