It depends on the 'lie of the land'. Personally I don't like seeing corner steadies too 'vertical'. I think having them less vertical spreads the load on the caravan floor a bit better, but I might be wrong.
When ours is parked up at home i put a concrete block under the corners as it means i dont need to wind the legs down so far and also the backs are off the egde of the drive just onto the flower boarder so it stops them getting covered in mud.
