Hi im a potential newbie to caravanning and just need a little advice.
We have the opertunity to buy a secondhand caravan a swift year 2000, it has been serviced every year up untill this last yr as the owners got ill. Now my hubbie has looked inside and it looks like its in mint condition but its the outside thats a little worrysome. It has moss on the outside and wondered if that reflects any damage that were not seeing on the inside.
I hope it works out for us were looking forward to caravanning with our ferrets :)

Moss is easy to clean off - but    BUY A DAMP METER.   Check everywhere inside.  Under beds - inside cupboards anywhere near a seam on the outside. If you get a reading of less than 20% you are ok.

Damp meters are cheap at Argos and can save you a lot of money and worry.

As above, get a damp meter or get it checked out by a mobile service engineer.
