Hi we've just sold our caravan & are now on the look out for a double dinette model. We have a budget of 9k tops. Can anyone suggest a good make/model please? We would prefer a 5/6 berth with long day beds at the back as apposed to the double with bunk above. Hubby likes the crusader superstorm. We have our eye on a few 06 models. I've seen a compass rallye too. Is the compass any good?
Hi Savanne we still have our pitch but I've got itchy feet & want to tour through the other 6 months of the year. Not happening with a great big hobby. Plus I don't want to be restricted with what sites we can visit. Some are ever so funny about them. We have our pitch until the 28th sept so plan on putting a new one on until then, then off we go on our travels. I can't wait! I hate staying in one place. Don't get me wrong the site is fab but as hubby says I'm a gypsy haha!
We bought a sterling europa 650. 2009. It's lovely and has the twin lounge so loads of room. This is the last year they did this layout I believe. my friend has the superstorm and it's almost identical.
Hi vangal have your friends had any problems with the superstorm? Hubby has been chatting with a seller today & agreed on what I think is a good price. £8500 for an 06 model with awning, motor movers & solar panel, plus a few other little extras like hook up lead. Possibly collecting this weekend. Hope it's a good un cause its 3hrs away. Long way to go to view & walk away.
Check the Superstorm for signs of cracking in the Aluminium skin radiating out from the top corners of the door. Its caused by a lack of stiffness in the structure and could be expensive to fix!
Just paid a deposit to the seller today after I checked his CRIS documentation. Hubby is collecting it next Friday &
It's going straight down to our pitch in Paignton. I can't wait to get in for a nose. i think hubby will have fun playing with the motor mover. That always fascinated us watching other people use them. Little things please little minds haha!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
