My kampa rally 390 let's in water when it rains. It gathers in droplets a little on the canvas but seems to drip more from the roof poles especially the optional extra "storm" poles which are in direct contact with the canvas.
Although it's a few years old there are no rips etc and does appear fairly sound all round. I used fabsil on it a couple of seasons ago but didn't see any real improvement.
I reproofed another awning a few years back with fenwicks which was effective but don't want to waste time money and effort on this awning if it's going to be in vein.
Could it be a case of just come to the end of its life, that fabsil is naf or that canvas sitting on top of "extra" framework causes issues?
Or does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions on this?
Is it the canvas type or the lightweight type. I have a canvas type one and have had for a few years
I have read that people have reproofed them and I think why because canvas will more than likely
only leak on the joints and the thread on the joints swells up and stops it from leaking. Ours is an air type and in the beginning it leaked and pooled water on the top we got in touch with Kampa and they said leave it and it will be right once joints had settled and it did what we found was we hadn't inflated it enough so that the water could bead off. So one thing to remember is make sure make sure that the awning is sturdy when erected so that the water beads off freely.

We had exactly the same problem. 8 year old Rally-Pro poled type. Even though it was reproofed regular with Fabsil, it just got that i couldnt stop it dripping inside. It never used to be like that. The final straw was i got 2 splits in the front panel this Summer, so it had to go. Ive got one slightly bigger, and of the modern lighter material (not the thin crap you can get with some, little heavier than a bin bag), but this one has a 6000 hydro-head on it. So im expecting it to last.
Sods law is that the rest of the Summer has been so good, its seen not a drop of rain!
