Hi All,

need a new awning for my 1999 abi sprinter, size is 770cm.

The awning rail on the van is not straight it dips a little above the door. I was looking at a modern porch type such as the Kampa or Sunncamp 290, but the lady at the caravan shop tells me that this type will cause problems because my rail is not straight. She told me that only a traditional one will do.

What do you all think- will i get away with a porch type?

I note on the Outdoor Revolution awnings they state that the porch awnings will fit any caravan from 230cm to 250 high, they don't stipulate a straight rail.
