I am hoping some of you clever folk may be able to help with a couple of problems I have.
I am currently in France with a Bailey Unicorn Valencia 2019 model with Whale Watermaster pump; yesterday the water stopped flowing, the indicator light on the control panel was on but the pump was not operating. I fiddled around with pump thinking it may have got stuck and it worked again briefly, i.e. a few minutes. I have tried the same thing again several times and got it working again albeit briefly but now however much I try I can't get the pump working again. Has my pump had it? Or could there be another problem.
Another problem I am having (don't think it is related) is the caravan battery voltage display on the main control panel, it is reading 21.3 volts, however when I test the battery with a multi meter it is correctly reading 13.9 volts. Any ideas with this problem?
All suggestions gratefully received otherwise it looks like another 2 weeks in France without water in the van.

Just had exactly the same problem with our water pump; a visit to the local service centre later and had to replace the pump. They're not particularly resilient apparently.
You can take the pump apart and blow through it to clean it, but it seems to be a short term fix. This also happened to us a few years ago whilst we were in the south of France; we called Red Pennant, and received a replacement pump the next morning. That may not help if you don't have Red Pennant, but a quick internet search may give a dealer who can ship it down to you.
I have no idea about batteries though!

Problem I had with voltage as displayed on the control panel (I have a Coachman) which was reading very high, infact the needle was pushed against the stop.
I traced this to the voltage regulator for the solar panel and had to disconnect it from the system. If you have a fitted solar panel ,it may be worth checking it.

Solution is to fill aquaroll and switch off mains and 12 volt etc and unplug/remove pump which should reset the system.
Thanks. Great tip, did as you said, also flushed water through the pump, so far water pump working all day, keeping fingers crossed it keeps on going.

There is a Narbonne Accessoires about 10 miles away in Chalon sur Saone, went there this morning unfortunately they do not have any whale pumps.

I have disconnected the solar charger but voltage still reads 19.7 volts. sounds like a charger problem like you suggest, will get irt checked when I get home.
I have a Bailey Pegasus with the same pump arrangement and have experienced the same problem.
If the pump is actually running then the pump is ok, what is happening is the pump is loosing prime, in the socket the pump plugs into there are some non return valves these need to be replaced from time to time. It is not expensive to get a replacement kit and is a job that if you can use a screw driver you can do yourself £10 to get sorted out.
